World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
The feature of upgrading items allows players to boost the item level of equippable weapons or armor. This improves the stats of that equipment, in addition to sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.
It is crucial to remember that upgrading magic and common gear is not always worth it. Rare and unique gear will quickly surpass upgraded magic and common equipment.
Cost
The player must spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost to upgrade an item is based on the item's current level and type of upgrade. Upgrades to weapons are typically cheaper than upgrades to armor because weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold required increases when the item is upgraded to an upper level.
A new item will also have improved stats, which can improve its performance in a variety of ways. This could mean increasing its attack power critical strike chance, or damage per second. The upgraded item can also provide additional buffs to the unit it's equipped with. These upgrades can be used to boost the overall strength of a group or a single unit, and could significantly impact the gameplay.
Items can be upgraded at any NPC who is an upgrader in the game. Typically NPCs can be found in capital cities or major questing locations. Players can also find item upgraders by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses and by talking to NPCs in their garrisons of their faction.
The item upgrade system in World of Warcraft provides players with the ability to upgrade the level of weapons, armor, and trinkets. This process is similar to reforging of gear in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However instead of using currency, players need to visit an item upgrader to complete the process.
Upgrades to items can be costly, particularly when it comes to weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade path each step in item level can cost many Valorstones and crests. The total cost could be a major burden for players who do not have the funds or aren't willing to grind them.
Fortunately, the game lets players reroll an upgraded item with an additional tool available in the menu of items. This option exchanges the upgraded item for an equivalent level 1 version of it that has a different set of bonus effects. This can be useful to get higher scores on items that are already upgraded, but could be a waste of resources.
Requirements
Upgrading is the process of increasing the item level of equippable items, such as trinkets, weapons, and armor. This can increase their stats and make them more effective in combat. A player can roll an upgraded item using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a brand new one. The new item comes with different set of extra bonuses, and is of a lower level of the item. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to note that the item rerolled will not retain its level or have any wasted resources.
Rerolling upgraded items is only possible if the item that was upgraded was an Epic, Rare or Unique. Extraordinary items can also be rerolled, but the original stats are replaced by a flat-rate bonus. Rerolling a Rare or Epic item will result in the normal version, and rolling the Epic version will result in an elite version.
An upgraded item might have extra modifiers, which can further increase its stats and boost its performance. These additional modifiers do not come with the upgrade cost. They can be obtained through doing quests, purchasing them at the Trading Post or from other players. They can be earned through doing specific missions within the game.
To upgrade an item of equipment it is necessary to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. Based on the type of item, you will need one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is droppable from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 12 is available from Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.
Time
Item upgrades are a way to boost your ship's performance and gear without needing to upgrade them. Upgrades aren't cheap but they can be an effective way to increase your stats without having to spend as much time fighting. It's crucial to know the benefits and costs prior to investing your time or money.
Each upgrade increases the base stat of an item by a certain amount, and also offers a chance to gain a bonus substat increase. The extra substat is random, and can vary from a small increase in one stat to a much greater increase in another. Make sure to focus on the stats that perform best in slots first. They will provide a more profit for your investment.
You can see the time required to complete an upgrade if you open your inventory and select an item such as a ship, weapon or accessory. The upgrade window will display the progress and expected completion time. In some cases you may be able speed up the process of upgrading by applying an Glyph.
Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage sell a high-level salvage kit which allows you to retrieve all or part of the upgrade components. However, this does not include legendary equipment and upgrades that can only be recovered using an Upgrade Extractor or by recovering them through the appropriate karma merchant.
Rewards
The upgrade of items rewards players with a variety of items and currency. Each upgrade also has a chance to award an unspecified stat bonus. The amount of bonus value varies between upgrades, and is typically higher for rare items. Players can use a Great Vault search to see whether an item can be upgraded prior to purchasing tickets. The search can assist in determining whether the item is of a particular tier and whether the player would benefit by a particular upgrade.
In the process of upgrading the item will gradually increase to the next level, however, it isn't always able to reach the full upgrade bar. This process uses Growthstones and Sollant however there is an opportunity to achieve an upgraded item in just one cycle of growth. The higher the level an item gains, the higher its stats will be and the more items that can be upgraded.
Upgrade components can be integrated into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to give an attribute bonus or additional effect while the equipment is in use. Certain upgrade components can be equipped with additional cosmetic effects. Players can acquire upgrade components through crafting, buying from vendors or the Trading Post, looting, or receiving as a reward. In addition players can retrieve upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a high-tier salvage kit. Glyphs that are placed on gathering tools are able to be swapped.
The player can transform an item to upgrade it into another item by selecting it and pressing the green button an arrow for reroll. This will change the layout of the game and allow players to choose up to six items to be used for "recycling". The item that is recycled will be exchanged with an item of level 1 similar to it. item upgrading will not keep their level, nor the resources used to upgrade them.
The highest level of upgrade an item can achieve is determined by its quality and tier. Rare and Epic items are able to be upgraded to levels up to nine, while common items can only be upgraded to level six. The upgrades to items are added to its base statistics. This means that they won't increase more after a certain point.
